This is a pretty sad story about a father that never got closure on his daughter. Her disappearance seems to have made him a reclusive alcoholic, trying to find something about her or her whereabouts.

He only gave up drinking when he got close to putting the pieces together. And, that probably helped him get the closure he needed.

I would probably do the same if my daughter wound up missing. I wouldn't stop until I found her and brought her home, in any shape or form.

This reminds me of Marshall Mathers'/Eminem's sentiment about his kids in the song Headlights on The Marshall Mathers LP 2.

Eminem - Headlights said:
One thing I never asked was where the fuck my deadbeat dad was
Fuck it, I guess he had trouble keepin' up with every address
But I'da flipped every mattress, every rock and desert cactus
Owned a collection of maps, and followed my kids to the edge of the atlas
Someone ever moved them from me

I watched this movie and it was actually about a man who was hunting animals but now he decides to catch bad people. He wants to really straighten out for all the things that he has done in his earlier years. Trust me, you'll be on the edge of your seat throughout the movie.

The Silencing shows us that our decisions really count in shaping our lives. The main character didn't behaved properly, but he wants to be a better person. It depicted that l when we get it wrong, we can attempt to correct it. It also captures a good message that everyone deserves to be given another opportunity.
