We may allow political discussions in the near future, but they will initially be limited to a single thread. If we proceed with this, members will have the option to ignore this thread so it doesn't appear in "What's new" or for them at all. If the discussion grows too large and requires its own forum, that forum will also have the same "ignore" feature.

One of your posts you said something about that. Something to do with not wanting to upset sensibilities or something to that effect until we got 1,000 members. So I have been on my very best politically correct behavior. Not an easy thing for me to to do. I believe it may have been on a suggestion thread that I created, not sure.

Conversations on more sensitive and adult-themed topics, excluding politics, are permitted in the Mature Minds forum.

Being permitted to post there does not guarantee that all discussions will remain if they violate other rules, such as harassment and racism.

If you want to create a thread about witchcraft and keep the conversation on topic, I see no reason why you shouldn't.

Other members can choose to ignore that thread if they aren't interested. RealShit is not obligated to follow the same rules that hosting platforms like ProBoards enforce, so we don't have any problem with adult-themed discussions.

Since the Mature Minds forum's intended users are adults, they can choose to ignore the thread or not engage with it. However, if conflicts spill outside the thread between specific users, a "force ignore" ban will be applied between them, making it unpleasant for the problematic user to continue using RealShit.

When two members are unable to get along and are always arguing, it can make the RealShit experience worse for others. This is particularly frustrating for the community at large if they derail any thread just to have the last word.

As a result, the stick will be required to forcefully make them ignore each other.

That said, it doesn't mean they aren't welcome on RealShit. They just won't be able to view each other's posts or interact with one another anymore.

We don’t anticipate facing that issue, but if it does arise, this is how we’ll handle it over a forum ban.

There is no "Realshit experience". Takeaway the 6 fake RS 'members' and you have only 8 with me. And half of them hardly ever post. I would wait a bit to build up your membership base, before thinking of becoming some kind of a rulebook dictator.

The basic rules were set up to help the community communicate effectively, but there isn’t a clear plan for dealing with those who break them.

As the community gets bigger, the rules will expand too, if that’s what the community wants or needs in order to flourish.

^^^Truth be told you are a good admin because you are able to keep your cool. I joined another forum the other day. I got the admin all hot and bothered. I thought he came off badly. I invited him to ban me. He chose not to....The members there like me, I know this due to the responses I get. He is in a bit of a quandry because he has allowed me to get under his skin. ...........He is not a good admin.

There are 3 members that I have become friends with over there. They all have over 20,000 posts and are addicted to that forum. They won't be going anywhere else, I know the type. As to the admin....don't you worry, I've got other plans for that boy.
