Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
Tonight's movie will be a mafia movie starring Johnny Depp.

I've heard that Depp makes you empathize with the bad guy, which should make this an interesting watch, as you don't particularly root for the bad guy.

It was a fairly good movie, but there are just too many characters involved in the story. Since they all go by nicknames and have similar appearances, it sometimes makes it difficult to discern who someone is talking about or referring to in the dialogue.

If you told me that Johnny Depp was Whitey Bulger in the movie, without seeing the credits, I wouldn't believe you. The costume he put on is unrecognizable from Depp, but I'm not a diehard fan, so I wouldn't be able to tell without it being pointed out.

Overall, a 3/5 from me. Good scenes and good action combined with a good story, but just a tad too difficult to follow at times.

It is about the man called Whitey Bulger who did some unpleasant things. But at the same time, the movie teaches people how he was able to deceive people and make them believe he was good.

In Black Mass, i learn about good and evil. Whitey Bulger was bad to many people, but he too had many people who loved and cared for him. The movie makes me aware that everyone has a black and white inside and that a choice defines who one is.
